Ok guys, so on the 4th of October I'm running an Animal Day at the pub I work at with different activities for kids and face painting and all that jazz. Also as part of the day I'm talking in some animals for the kids to see and learn about, including Sir Hiss. Any ways... anyone got any interesting or fun facts about cornsnakes for me to tell the kids. Obviously I have all the basics covered... anything particularlly novel or new??
Something that I found most kids particularly enjoyed hearing about with snakes is that although not quite the right words or the correct description (but was always entertaining for them) is that snakes have 2 'willys'.
The fact they don't blink is something that some of them found amazing, sometimes just something that seems so obvious ends up being a topic of discussion with kids for ages.
Do you have a full shed to take in and show them? I bet they would love to see that, especially if it was one from Sir Hiss. Then you could show them how they have the scales over the eyes rather than just tell them about it.
