This is Trilby, a snake we rescued a while ago as a female carolina corn snake, but it turns out he's a probable male, possible cross corn/rat snake.
He's very gorgeous and very huge (6ft), but was never handled by his previous owners for over 6 years so he will never make a 'pet' snake.
He's calmed down a lot since we had him, but he's not easy to handle. Not aggressive but too flighty for his large size so very awkward and is a risk to himself more than anything.
Eats well on weaner rats or multiple breeder mice fortnighty. Also sheds fine.
Not suitable for anyone without the experience to give him a good life or children as he is a powerhouse of muscle.
Please contact me for more details if interested.
Only expecting a donation for rehoming fee to stop anyone taking him on lightly.
He's in Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Thanks

He is a bit of an handful- especially to handle by yourself
Another thing I should mention too is he's used to living in a 4ft by 2ft viv, so he'll need large housing too |

i remmeber seeing this snake on a forum many months ago on a thread to do with huge corn snakes, yes he is very nice indeed, and i think thats what makes corn snakes get to 6 foot plus is by throwing in other rat snake species into the blood line. shame you havin to sell him/her as there is not many huge corns/rat snakes available these days |

Trilby is definitely not one for kids! far too big, quick and wriggley for an inexperieced handler |

He's about 7 or 8 as far as we can work out. The old owners said they had him from a hatchling, but 6 years of that was when he was being unhandled.
Think we might have a home for him now. Pauline from the Dark Side is very interested, so we should be able to drop him off at the next York rep night. |
