I went with a couple of LED lights used for aquariums. The were more like spot lights than strips, so I was able to angle them where I wanted. I had a green one for the day and a blue one for night time. I got mine from Pets @ Home for about £15 each. That being said I don't think I've turned them on in a month
hey, ive made my own led lights. Cost me and a friend approx £2.50 but i managed to aquire a few bits from my work place so it would of cost more. Ive got 6 leds places at the back of my viv all wired into a box which is sat at the side of my viv with a on off switch and dimmer switch. Its nice and effective and because if how my viv is made, with a breathing strip at the back, they have sat in a hole each. Well out of reach of seth until i get some vines up.
I've got a mesh lid on my viv so I may have to bodge together a way of holding it up. I'm thinking of just using a sewing needle and thread to try and slip a tiny bit of thread up, although I'm sure Izzy will find a way to pull it down!
Aquarium LEDs with suction cups are another option for me.
What about a small cable tie? Or are the wholes in the mesh too small for that?
Unfortunately the mesh is too small. I think suction cups will be the best way. Will have to make sure the cables are pushed right into the corner so Izzy can't climb on them (no doubt she'll find a way though!).
