Hi

Since we put Tango in his viv, he seems to spend an awful lot of time lounging around in the bonsai tree, which is at the cool end of the viv.

I haven't noticed him in his hide on the warm end very often, although my son may say he does go in it, as the viv is in his room.

Is it okay for him to spend so much time in the tree?

Thanks a lot.

Best wishes

I'm sure it is just that he is happy there watching the world go by. I would just double check your temperature in the warm end. make sure your probes are laid flat on the mat as this can effect the readings but other than that I'm sure he is ok

Aww, he probably is just enjoying the climbing, my personal opinion despite me being new to this is that just like a small child that wont eat, they are extremely unlikely to starve themself until they are poorly so a snake wont get too cold if its not warm enough it will go to the warm end. I wouldnt worry but yeah check your warm end temperature isnt too hot like kdlang said. :)

The probes are on the floor at both ends, the warm end is usually 28C - 29C and the cool end is 23C - 24C, they are both okay aren't they?

Like you say he's probably just watching whats going on.

If he was cold he would go in his hide at the warm end wouldn't he?

Thanks.

Best wishes
