right,
I started talking to my mum bout how much mischief our 7month old puppy called Millie was getting into in the past week ago. Then all of a sudden, my dad came in basically freaking out saying wheres Millie and that he couldn't find her anywhere and as soon as my dad said that shes ran off my heart just sank cuz we have only had her for about 3 or 4 months and she doesn't properly know her way around. :(
So all my family were walking/driving around all my village trying to find her and asking people if they had seen a Westie x Cairn Terrier knocking about anywhere. Then all of a sudden i get a phone call saying that this guy had found her and taken her to gnosall kennels which is shocking considering that i live like an hour away from there! So me and mum got in her car and started to make our way up to gnosall and bout half an hour later i got another phone call saying that the guy hasn't taken her to gnosall kennels and so he gave us the mans number to ring him up to get Millz back. my mum rang the man up who had her to explain that Millie was ours and that, but then the idiot started going completely ****y with my mum and basically having ago at my mum for not putting an identity tag on puppy when we were actually going to get her one in a couple of days anyway. when we found out the details of who this man was, i remembered that it was my mates mums friend, who i saw before kicking his dog and yanking the lead back and must have yanked it quite hard seen as his dog went about 2 or 3 foot in the air?! :O?!! now if thats not animal abuse then i dont know what is!
anyway, when he finally came round to give us the pup back, its like he wouldn't even let go of her and when he did it looked like he was bout to cry lol quite strange though if you ask me :/ as soon as he went and we put lil Millie on the floor, she started to limp and she couldn't put any bit of weight on her left hind leg at all without lying down straight afterwards :'( the first thing i thought is what if hes kicked her for biting her seen as she is a nibbler :/ it definitely isnt broken but think it is badly bruised :( my poor baby girl!! xx |

omg! D: i would hate it if that happen to me! well theres this right rough bit quite near where i live and i normally try to not go near there specially by myself anyway. And basically one of my 2 house cats did runner and because he was one of those big type of cats (height ways) and he is ginger and white, i was just glad that he didn't go round that area cuz basically they see a cat roaming round then they will just take it with no question asked. but luckily he came back within 24 hours which is lucky considering he hadn't had the snip lol :) xx |

oh no! :( have you put posters around and that :( sorry to hear bout that btw and hope that there is any sign of him soon! :( Bit o.t.t. to give her death threats though even if she did wrong :¦ because i bet if she killed herself cuz of the death threats (btw only if it got really bad) then i bet the people who sent them would think that maybe it was a bit harsh to threaten her.. :/ and i totally agree with you about there is more sick people in this world because between a cat in a bin and lets say an abandoned caravan full of cats/kittens then the cat in a bin is just a mild sort of thing but is still wrong!
btw that is what happened to one of my cats called Billy who is an amazing 23 years old and he could have died in that caravan about 12 years ago :) so hes done well the old chap bless him :') xx |

I'm sorry to say, but a 7 month old dog still needs a tag. The black furry thing that we have living with us is only about 3-4 months old but she still has a tag. Also saying that young dogs don't know right from wrong is rubbish, ours does and wont do something if it's not allowed to. For example she wont go into my rep room, she'll sit at the door and wait until she gets told she can come in. Dogs are pack animals by nature (the same as snakes are one of the most vicious predators) and need discipline/training. Some dogs are hard to train with some stuff, it all depends on the breed. Huskys for example can be hard to train the recall in, purely because it's totally against their nature. Others get puzzled when their collie starts trying to herd them or children, it's a collie, what do you expect.
I do feel for you in regards how worried you must've been while looking for the dog, but the moral is make sure the dog/house is secure. I know if my dog got out, I'd have to look no further than the driveway, if it wasn't there, I'd leave the gate open and she'd come back when she's stopped playing in the river at the end of the road. If she wasn't back later on that night, I'd go scrape her out of the road and tell the missus that a snake wouldn't do that. |

yeah we are definitely getting her a tag sometime within a couple of days :) and we always make sure that every single door is shut but she could have escaped when my mum and dad were getting the groceries out of the car :/ and to be quite honest about this pup.. shes probably the most stupidest and spoilt dog we have ever had lol ive tried to train her as well but seems to take no interest in anything except chewing on people and their fingers haha :) guess some dogs will never learn lol what type of dog have you got then? :) xx |

A black one. retriever of some sort I think. Hell it could be a poodle for all I care. All I know is that she was basically gotten as a replacement for the dogs we used to have. Pointless effort IMO. |

23 years old! wow!! you must be a good puddy cat mummy to get him to that age! we've done everything to try and find him but to be honest he's an outdoor cat anyway, only comes home twice a day for his dinner, so he's probably just gone off on a wander. Hopefully he'll come home when he's ready. |

Poor Millie! Good job you got her back though Dont forget to take her to the vets if she is still limping in a day or two - just to make sure
Do you have a picture of her? My dog is apparently a cairn/westie mix (but i think he's more border than westie) so i want to see if yours looks much different to mine |

glad you got her back ok.. you say shes a nipper? I'm going to sound like the lecturing one now but you really do need to train her not to bite/nip people - i know shes a pup and only playing but if she bit a child and her parents werent very forgiving then she could be reported as a dangerous dog and then you wouldnt have any option but to have her pts.. i know its harsh and that but it could happen one day.. hope you get her a nice pretty tag that doesnt have her name on it - just your number and postcode.. that way if she goes missing and someone tries to claim her as theirs they wont necessarily know her name

sorry figs ive just seen your post lol =] and i'll put a pic up soon of her for you :) but shes gone really light since we had her lol what colours your dog? :) xx
and yeah she is a nibbling type because i looked up bout it and apparently quite a few breeds of terrier bite but not in a nasty way though. All Millie likes is chewing on peoples fingers but if its someone who she hasn't seen before, she jumps up and starts to lick them to death even though when she jumps up she only gets to about peoples hips bless her :) xx |

give her a toy to chew so that she learns not to chew people but toys instead.. i know shes only little but ive seen chihauhaus do plenty of damage to peoples hands and legs - all because their owners decided that "she's only small so she cant do any damage..." it doesnt make any difference how big she is..she has teeth that if used how they are supposed to be could hurt someone.. im really not trying to lecture you and I am sorry if it comes across that way but bad habits like nibbling/biting do need to be stopped earlier rather than later promise thats me over!! |

Another way to get the pup to stop nibbling when you don't want her to is to make a high pitched squeak and she should drop it, probably looking a bit confused lol. It's the sound puppies make when another one hurts them during play time, and it's just built in to them. Nipping is okay if it's play time, and you know it's controlled, but it's better to just get them to stop it in case they nip the wrong person, or a child. It's safer to just get rid of the risk altogether =]
I'm glad you found her though, that guy sounds dodgy =/ |

haha nahh doesn't look like your lecturing on at all but just saying how it is lol well we have tried a few times to stop her biting and she has slowed down quite alot though from when we had her :) xx
and yeah scarlett he was a proper weird guy :¦ and i didnt realise this until this morning but for some reason Millies collar was on proper tight when beforehand it was on so you could fit about 2 fingers between the collar and her neck :/ just keep wondering/worrying what the hell he has actually done to her :/ especially when he wouldn't let go of her :/ xx |

Our Cat Piper disappeared when he was about 2 years old for 3-4 months and then one day a neighbour came and said she could see him on the back fence so out we went with some cat biscuits and he was a bit wary and then he just legged it in. He's about 4 and a half now and still disappears for a few nights in mating season but I remember how worried I was about him when he was gone, every time I walked anywhere I was keeping an eye out for him. |
