Just wanted to check that the following details seem ok, when we first got Flakes we were overfeeding him (just followed what the shop had been doing!). We have had Flakes for just over 3 weeks and have just weighed and measured him. Details are .56oz or 15.87 grams and 44cms long. He hatched 25/6/10.

Is it also right that when he gets to 16 grams to increase to 2 pinkies every 5-6 days.

Flakes - Corn Snake - Hatched 25th June 2010
Andy - Husband
Faith - Daughter
Tommy - Border Collie Aged approx 13

I've always stuck with feeding every 7 days, Ember's always fed every 7 days, as will my little one, and Ember's fit as a fiddle. If he's overweight then spacing it out or decreasing his feed will do, so I'd say when it comes to increasing his food space it to 7 days =]

5 days for a snake that young is fine, you will be hard pushed to get him to be overweight, they grow very quickly at that age.
As for moving up a food size, thats entirely dependant on the snake, weight wise, thats a rough idea, not a bench mark.
If you feel he is big enough, then go for it.
Makes a change for a shop to be overfeeding, they usually underfeed.
