Sad if you ask me that someone from the ROYAL society for the prevention of cruelty to animals walked into a scenario and ended up walking out more knowledgable that when he walked in. You would like to think that these days they would have sent out someone with a modicom of knowledge in the first place but it doesnt suprise me. I recently reported a stray cat that was in a terrible state and they did sod all about it coz it was a stray and I ended up rehoming it meself.
Mind you in some respects like in this case i spose they cant be expected to have enough resourses when busy bodies as in this case take up their time on bogus calls. That said i wouldnt donate to them as the money would just get swallowed up by burocrasy and red tape instead of where it should go...to the animals.

I am not bothered by the guy turning up, he was doing his job.
I am annoyed at the person who phoned, the person who clearly has no understanding of what I do, how I treat the animals and exactly how they are kept.
Had someone seen me with one of the snakes swinging it round by its tail or hitting it or whatever, then fine, its justified, but that's not ever gonna happen, on the odd occasion I find one without water, immeadiately they get water, ( then I find out how long its been by how far the head is under the water!, believe me, a big boa can almost empty a large dog bowl of water in one go!
The only snake I have that is under fed is the one that's only just started to feed again after nearly a year, the one with a huge abcess in her mouth.

Question to knowledgable people, can I request a copy of the report??
I want to know what's being said.

Just got off the phone to Keith, the reptile man at the rspca centre, he says I have nothing to worry about and the visit will just get ticked off as a time waster.
Am happy about that, just need to find the sh*t stirrer now.

Yes, I once actually phoned the council over the way my charming neighbours were ganging up on a young woman nearby. Didn't name any names but, funny, the guy seemed to know who I was talking about ... He said they get to know the 'serial time wasters' - his words.

Hope you don't get any more trouble and hope you track down the troublemaker.
