Hi, my corn has just laid her first hatch however the eggs are the shape of cocktail sausages and are quite speckled are these fertile, can only see two as of yet think she is still in the process of laying, help any advice as to what to expect. |

slugs (infertile eggs) are discoloured, good eggs can be rounder or longer it doesn't really affect whether they're viable
and congrats! |

IF they are reasonably white then yes they are probably fertile, i would suggest you still try and incubate them. It wont do any harm to try. |

just a update guys took louis to vet yesterday and got eggs colapsed procedure went well and was given antibiotics to stop infection, she was great all through however filled up her water dish with the antibiotic solution last night and found her dead this morning, so totally devastated vet thinks she may have had epilepsy and the fit killed her. |
