Is it ok to feed inside the viv or do you have to take them out? |

It's actually your preference. Many members feed outside the viv (me included) as it's easier to make sure they don't ingest any substrate when eating, plus the idea that snakes can develop a feeding response when in vivs is still a disputed theory.
Feeding inside the viv is also done by a fair few members as well, either with the prey on a paper towel/plastic tub lid to minimise the chances of taking in substrate.
As said, it's preference. Pick one that you prefer and use that, there is no real right or wrong way to feed them, so long as the prey item is the right size for them then it doesn't really matter. |

I feed in a tub, used to feed in the viv but one corn started going of my hand whenever I put it in and the other would drag his food off the kitchen towel and anything else I put the mouse on and he would drag it through the substrate. |
A very special super, duper thanks for K :3 |

I feed mine in a seperate tub. I just dangle the mouse in. 2 of the corns tend to strike and sometimes constrict but one just takes it and gobbles it up. |

I generally dont strike feed, I wait for wife to plate it up then eat it.
My snakes on the other hand if they strike they strike, they are all given the opportunity, if not its just left for them chow down on. |

Both mine now get fed on the carpet. Both strike and both constrict tho I do make them chase around the prey for a bit first to let them think they have "caught" it. I did have a problem with Colin and I used to viv feed him as thats what i was told to do by my rep dealer but i got fed up with wrestling aspen out of the sides of his gob and eventually got him to feed on the carpet like Xena LOL. Its what works best for you as said there is no right and wrong.

I Tried feeding in and out of her faun, i settled on out and in one of my wife's large tupperware tubs ( she dosen't know yet!) as i felt it was more controlled and the kids could watch. It's also easyer to get pics of feeding.
I do make her work for her dinner a bit so she strikes and constricts, cought me out the first few times as i underestimated how quick they can move when they want to. |

i feed outside the viv an a clear tub. that way theres no chance of her eating substrate and a can watch it better, plus she strikes like a looney and would launch it everywhere. |
