1) Is there a good/safe sealant to use to fix down a heat mat?

2) Does anyone know "why" braining works?

3) My snake is quite small for his age (around 8 months)is there a SAFE way of helping him grow a bit faster? (i currently feed him a fuzzy mouse and a rat pup once a week)

thanks, marc

Aquarium sealant should be fine to hold downyour mat.

Snakes grow at different rates, there is no safe way to grow your snake faster he will grow as he grows also I dont see any benefit or need for you to rush this.

no, i dont want to rush him at all! But compared to the other corns that were in his clutch, he was significantly smaller when i got him, and just wondered if now that hes in a less threatening enviroment (as in, no other snakes in the same viv as him) he might benefit from slighty more feeding to help his growth...thats all.

I have a corn from last year that is still relatively small, yet i have 2 that are over 100g none of my 09's are the same, if he is feeding and shedding i wouldnt worry. so long as there is a bulge after feeding you dont need to give him any more.

I have two snakes form the same clutch, one is noticeable smaller than the other, it's just how some snakes are.

As said, aquarium seal is safe but you have to leave it 2 days to dry and air out as it really stinks!

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

because mousey brain matter smells! Lovely to the snakes, if you get a nice juicy lump.. not so to us humans.

I guess it excites the snake more.

its because mouse brain smells more of mouse than plain un-brained mouse so makes it more appealing to fussy feeders.

for a good feeding guide search for the 'Munson Plan'
