I went to what I thought was a reputable reptile shop here and got berated for not having a lightbulb in my corns' vivs and that my corns would be stunted and ill without one, then tried to sell me a three foot glass aquarium to keep a hatchling in. Then the phone rang and the salesperson got distracted so I made my sneering getaway.
Livestock is always low with nothing really 'different' to usual pet shop species, and god help you if you need crickets - theres never any in, and if there are the boxes are all half dead.
The woman behind the counter is totally useless and doesn't have a clue about anything because she 'only works there, it's my daughters shop' but the good thing is she can't add up very well so you can usually come away with a few free mice (only ever used in emergency - over a quid for a medium mouse!!!!!!)
Stotty was saying that his boss is doing a diploma in animal care shouldnt this be standard for any one wanting a pet shop licence if they going to sell reps to show they do know about the care and wellfare of these animals.
Most rep shops the same all they bothered about is the pound signs. It works out cheaper to get a viv on line than rep shop they are to expensive as others have said
