im just setting up a home made incubator as i think/hope my female is about to lay, she shed yesterday so fingers crossed. Any how i just need a stat to go on the incubator and im after a bit of advice to the best type of stat? i was thinking dimmer but would a dimmer stat be ok with running a small heat matt???
Dimmers will also work on mats and are apparently more accurate than pulse stats so if you have one spare you could use that, Not sure how accurate that is as i havn't used them myself but i think it was mikerichards that said it.
If you don't have a dimmer then i would go for a pulse as they're a bit cheaper and still do a good job of maintaining a certain temperature.
