Thanks guys :)

He was so good last night, fed him 11:30 before going to sleep, he woke me up at 2:30 crying changed his nappy and fed him and we were back asleep by 3:30 then he slep right through to 6, he probably would have slep longer I woke him up to change his nappy cause it was dirty. Midwife came today checked him over took the clamp off his cord, checked me over. She said she was impressed with him usually babies dont like being held so much at this stage, i said i've hardly put him down since hes been born lol. She's coming back tomorrow gonna check my stitches and take bloods to check my blood count cause they need to see how anemic i am after loosing so much blood.
LOL I'm terrible though, mum was gonna look after him while i had a nap but i couldnt relax without him within there so i ended up taking him up with me lol but he was good i fed him before sleeping and then he slep 4 hours and i was out cold the whole 4 hours lol

Twi, you already know how proud I am of you and how proud you should be of yourself. And having spoken to you since I know how you are taking to this really naturally and have bonded with William beautifully (although you do need to put him down sometimes ....or he will expect of be cuddled ALL the time!!).

The pics are beautiful, I just love the 6th one....it is such a professional pic of him and he looks such an angel. I also love the one of him on your shoulder.

Am I right in saying he was 8lb 10oz (or is my memory failing me as usual )?? That is a big size for a first baby! I had the same thing as you with my second, by the time I wanted an epidural it was too late....but having had one with my first I am glad I didnt with my second - it may have hurt more Twi, but you experienced every minute of it naturally....and it was so worth it.

Just keep going as you are....rest when you can....and dont be afraid to ask for help.

William is a true gift to give thanks for....and he is blessed to have a mum like you.

xxx

Saw midwife today and william got weight he was 8lb5oz when born and hes now 7lb14oz which means he has only lost 7oz of his birth weight midwife said that was very good. He is slightly jaundice but she says thats normal too. She also says I'm doing very well :) She is coming back Sunday to do heel ***** test, think she said she would weigh him again then too. Got my aunt and gran coming tomorrow to see him. Went out today, just quick trip to tesco to get some must haves, was just a short trip get out the house, william slept the whole time we were out.
Anyway here's a picture from this afternoon :)

Wow, congratulations Twi, he really is gorgeous. Such a lovely skin tone too - he's perfect. It's amazing that you sound so calm and in control, out and about with him already. I remember physically shaking with fear and feeling sick when I left the house with Beth for the first time and that was only walking around the corner from my house and my mum was with me too! Well done.

I definitely agree with Sammysnake about this Twi. I remember the first few times I went out with Tandi and I was so nervous....thinking what would I do is she cried and I couldnt stop her, what would people think....but you are coping so well.

It is a gorgeous pic of him and the fact he has lost so little of his birth weight proves that you are supplying him with premium milk! And dont worry about the jaundice, both mine had it and it wasnt an issue.

Maybe chat to you again at some silly hour of the morning when you are up feeding William and I am up for no reason!
