When I bought my snake last week I was told it was an Amel motley Stripe. However I looked at quite a few snakes and there were a number of choice changes until I settled on Glycon. So I'm not sure if that information is entirely accurate. No fault on the shops behalf, I'm a difficult customer

However I've just noticed that his eyes are jet black (I caught him a moment ago poking his head out of the hide, first time I've seen him since Wednesday )

I am under the impression that Amels always have red eyes. So can I assume that as mine has black he definitely isn't amel and I'll have to work out what he is? Maybe he's a Hypo?

No pics yet I am afraid as he's still settling in and I do not want to disturb him.

Thanks

Greg

all amel based morphs have red eyes so definetely not one of those. Motley has its own hypo effect so most likely its normal motley or hypo motley

Sometimes the striped effect can really lighten the colors, almost so it looks amel.

On some motleys the pattern is conjoined formin a stripe but with the motley pattern still visible.

They're still genetically a motley though.

Had a quick look then and it just looks like an Amel stripe to me. An over priced one at that.
