I went to the petshop today and I got to hold a baby BCI/BCC that was no longer than 1ft it was so cute! And a lovely milksnake, and a king it was so amazing to handle it really surprised me! It just nicely coiled around my hand and flickered it's tongue out, no musking and no biting and didn't whiz off, it was amazing! I wish I could have taken him home... I probably would have if they didn't need like a 4ft x 2ft viv T.T
I hate them so much in there, they sold me I could have a discount on any snakes if I bought one >.< |

King snake doesn't need a viv that size. Get one, you know you want to. |

Boa constrictor imperator.
Thats actually pretty small for a baby BCI, unless you thought it was smaller than it was because of the chunkiness. I think there normly born around 16-18 inches long. |

But care-sheets say they do T.T they all seem to say upto 6ft but I always though most grew to 4-5ft on average like corns. I defeintely do not have the sapce for a 6ft snake... yet... if I knew it wold fetinetly not grow that big it would be fine.
Truth be told I fell in love with the milk snake... pictures of milks really do not compare! Like all the pictures I've seen of them don't jump out at me but holding one... it as amazing and such beautiful snakes they are! So smooth feeling it really surprised me. They said I could have it for £45, it's a yearling but I'm not sure if that's a good price or not.
The BCC was probabably bigger then. They said it was a BCC when I first asked but I asked how sure and the man said it did look kinda look a bit like a red tail. It looked very very young! Although I asked if they knew if it was BCC but they weren't 100% sure and they said it could have been BCC cross BCI it looked like it was skinny though. I might have conviced the b/f to get one when were older :p but I think he wants all my corns to die before we get one XD |

You gonna be waiting a long time for the corns to die! Bcc's get big and need a 5x2 minimum, bci's, you will get away with a 4x2 no problem. Its worth knowing for sure what it is before buying, there's almost a 5ft size difference in females! |

I know but I/he will probably be replacing the corns as they die, not meant to sound mean as I love my corns. What will probably happen is that I get another viv stack or just one massive viv.
Do BBC get bigger than BCI? I thought it was the other way around! This one was male. It was more of a surprise of seeing in in their, the previous owners of the petshop only stocked corns most of the time and occasionally milks and royals.
I would love a black milk but they are almost guaranteened apprently to get to 6ft :/
I'm going really hate going in there though, they said if I want any snake in any morph they will get it for me *_* they seem convinced in trying to get me to have a lavender corn. |

A BCI is a common boa, a BCC (Boa constrictor constrictor) is a red tailed boa.
Alot of people will call a common boa a red tail, so its easier to say BCI and BCC to avoid confusion. |

Even a cross will get bigger than the average bci, and generally its bcc's that get big. Obviously dwarf bcc's will be out grown by most bci's. Being male, he won't get that big, at most about 7ft, but won't be chunky like the females are. You won't regret getting one, as a baby too you will grow with it and out won't feel so big. They are vastly more intelligent than corns, you can see it in their eyes too! |

Hahaha I will get one, my boyfriend has promised me as he really liked the look of of it's face and how it kinda looks more pre-historic in a way compared to other snakes but it will be a few years we get one :p but it was just amazing to hold one and think "your going to get huge"
If I got one now I have no real room for it yet once it does start to grow big. But they are so lovely.
They hadn't priced it yet I hate to think what they will charge for it and they would have to make sure they definitely know100% what snake it is and I would want past records with a snake like that and they don't seem to keep stuff like that :/ |
