Hi am new to snake keeping but already loving it. My "Fluffy" is red with orange markings and when purchased i was told he is a Miami corn snake. I have looked at various sites and not seen Miami mentioned once. At the risk of sounding very stupid are all corn snakes Miami? Will post pics asap and hopefully someone will be able to help me out with his colour title. The more i research the more confused i seem to get

Fluffy may be a Miami Karen, but they are not particularly common. It is a morph of corn snake, with a grey/tan body with red/orange blotches, outlined with black....which doesnt quite sound like what you are describing with Fluffy.

Checkout http://iansvivarium.com/cornsnakemorphs.php. If you look through the different morphs then you can see what a Miami looks like and whether Fluffy is similar. This is the link for a Miami - http://iansvivarium.com/morphguide/miami/. The good thing is that this site shows both the hatchlings and the adults, as they change so much.

The best way to get an answer is to post a pic of Fluffy on here and then hopefully you will get told for sure what Fluffy is by our 'Morph Master'.

This link will help will help you to post pics - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14. Cant wait to see what he looks like.

Unfortunately pet shops often mislead people as to what morph they are buying....either because they dont know any different or because they can charge extra for different morphs. But I know that whatever morph Fluffy is, it wont matter to you .

The miami is sort of a morph, its technically a locality, but is the locality off the morph.
Miami s are natural hypos, so blacks are reduced anyway.
Stick a pic up for best results.

miami is still a wild type, but usually only found in southern florida so some will still call them that or normal
