i have a rub box witch is 20cmx33cm. and i have ordered a heat mat which is 5 inches by 6 inches, , the heat mat is 5w and is a sticky one... will this be to hot and do i have to stick it to the box or wood desk i am going to use any one got any tips il be happy to ere :)

if its on a thermostat then it wont get too hot, without one then yes it will and your poor snake wont like it,
personally i wouldnt stick it to the desk - if you decide to move your snake or when he upgrades you wont really want an old heatmat stuck to a desk.. some people put polystyrene inbetween the desk and the heatmat to insulate it and keep the heat going up into the viv, my heatmats arent stuck to the fauns and tbh its really up to you - if they are loose still then i can reuse them in the future

the mat aint getting that hot iv left it on all day now and its worm in the box i put the mat resting to the desk with about half inch space from the mat and the box so it should be fine :P
