Thanks everyone. He's been a pleasure so far to keep. His ventral markings look great as well. Can't wait until he gets to the 3' mark and the red starts brightening up on the saddles.

July 09, so it's brithday next month, I haven't got an exact date so I'll just celebrate on the 31st, day before mine And that's when he gets his big prezzie (new viv).

It all depends on the scorpion I guess but with Emperors/Imperials it's easy, hard and nerve racking, lol. If you buy the wrong enclosure on the advice of some shops then it is hard as I found out sadly with my first Emperor. But with this one, although still paranoid, it is so easy it's unbelievable. The basics are, keep temps and humidity, mist 1-3 times a week or more if weather is particularly hot and dry. Chnage water daily and put a couple of crickets in every couple of days. Clean out every 1-3 months. 3 months is about the norm.

I was the opposite way round, I prefer animals with their natural colours unless it is a natural mutation, like the White Spirit Bear. With corns, I love the Carolinas, Miamis etc, I think the only corn morth I liked was Anery's or Pewter. Probably because they remindme of black n white drawings. |
