Do corns yawn???? or was it just showing me its massive mouth for fun?
My corn is still very small and i am new to this...i just found it mad when it opened its mouth several times whilst i had hold of him!

is this the norm from a norm?

if you only got him on weds then personally id give him a few days to properly settled in - its usually advised to leave any new arrival for a week without any human contact or feeding, just regular water changes,
some do stretch their mouths out for no reason..i wouldnt be too worried

We've seen Ruby do it several times! We're new to keeping snakes, but a friend of ours who's had corns most of his adult life reports that they do it to re-set their jaws (regardless of how recently they've eaten as they sometimes do it just to keep their jaws limber) and also to loosen up the skin on their faces when preparing for shed.

Yes, it's a hard job being a snake you know. Sleeping and eating takes it out of you!

Yes they do yawn. Like ladyevil suggested have a look at the caresheet and use the search button too. If you can't find what you're looking for then do ask, don't think any question is silly...there's no such thing as a silly question on here, chances are somebody else wants to know too! It's good that you are finding out all these things about your snake, it shows you care.
Slightly off topic...what colour CKCS have you got? Boys/girls?

A friend of mine used to keep Burmese and reticulated pythons. She took one of her retics to the vet because it kept 'cuddling' up to her, stretching all the way out next to her whenever she'd be lying down watching TV or something. She thought it was just cold, but the vet said it was probably sizing her up. Could be total BS, but that would completely freak me out. Think you'd be all right if a corn tried to munch you, though

They do yawn. if he's doing it lots, just get him checked out, as mine did that and started wheezing a bit, turned out he'd got substrate up his nose....wolly...

HAHAHA, the sizing me up comment made me laugh! Unless they were HUGE, I don't think a Corn snake could get it's mouth round your wrist, nevermind anything else!! ;)

Hope you're enjoying being a new snake owner though!!
