i got a mat stat controlling my four vivs and am having some temp issues.
the probe is in my 90x45x45 and is set to 31*c(slate)
i just got 4 digi thermometers and installed them putting the probes in each of the warm hides of the 4 vivs.
now i am getting readings of 31.5*c in the main viv and 26.4*c(slate),34.9*c(bark) and 35.4*c(beech) in each of my smaller 60x35x35. all with no lights on.
they all have diff substrates (2x roof slates, 1x bark, 1x beech) and diff hides and i know this will be a effect but i am in need of some advice.
any suggestions or ideas to even them out??
cheers

I would say you can use 1 stat for multiple vivs only if the vivs are identical (size, substrate, etc). |

just checked my temps with my works thermometer. (def more accurate) and all temps are wot the new thermometers say.
been rereading my books and all temps are within stated guides so think i should be ok. only one is a little low but its a got a big entrance to the hide. gonna look at a new one.
MINE (RECOMMENDED) corn - 33.6*C (31-35*C) royal - 34.4*C (32-35*C) leos - 31.2*C, 26.2*C (29-31*C)
wot do you guys think to the temps. All taken from inside the warm hides.

Warmer than I have them. Every care sheet you read though has slightly different instructions though. |

That's what I have mine at, 30C for the Corn, 32C for the Royal. Like you say though, everything you read is slightly different. |

Wiggle has just moved in there and I have 2 of those small glass vivs with heatmats in. One currently empty waiting for BRB, the other with Rocky in. Then I have 2 more 3' vivs waiting to be filled :) |

Theoretically they are for the Royal and BRB when they're big enough (maybe next year), if I can wait long enough! - Think I'm going to get an Albino female to go in with Rocky. |

you gonna have them share a viv.
i was looking at having 2 females in one viv and told not bother by my local shop. cos they would put each other off feeding. |

It depends who you ask, some people are quite happy to co-habit their snakes (GP & Saddleninja for instance). I haven't made my mind up yet. |
