Here are some little creatures we found while on our camping trip:

Grass Snake - Was a little too fast to catch his head - it rattled it's tail and slithered off:

Common Lizards - Basking on a pile of logs:

Some toads - don't know what sort (will have to dig out an old book I've got) both different by the looks:

More like David Bailey!

What Lewy forgot to mention is that I'm the eagle-eyed lady that spotted the snake. I'm good at snake hunting. Just call me Bear Grylls

A bottom of the range Digtal SLR - it's a Canon 350D - they've come down in price loads since I got mine. just get an okay lens and they're great - was playing about with a top of the range canon today and there's no difference when you use a good lens on it!

No, that was the first one I've ever seen

Although, I'm hardly the quietest person on the planet. Snakes would normally hear me coming from 3 miles away.

Thought it was a very lucky find indeed.

I went Slow worm hunting last weekend in Clumber park with my girly mates. Unfortunately, it was too dark and we were all too drunk to be successful. Think it was the fact my mates were singing Disney songs at the top of their voices too. Reptiles don't like cartoons
