yes you got me, it was an old ashtray but I thought what a cool water bowl, so I soaked it in bleach then in water and it came up a treat, looks brill with the red light on it at noght.

although cecil is over ten months old, he wasn't handled much from where I got him, so I don't want to put too much in yet and start stressing him by having to take it all out when it comes to getting him out!!!

here's how it looks in the daylight,

and here's how it looks with all the lights off in the house,

Ive put the light on a timer switch so it's not on constantly, just 5pm till 2am.
looks great when you see cecil moving about in the red light.

The viv looks awesome! I'm a perticular fan of the 'mezzanine' level :D. Thats one spoiled lil snake ;) He does look very teeny in it.. possibly eyeing up the wires from the lamp as a makeshift vine.. heheheh. This is very inspiring stuff :) I hope I can make one this good when I get my snakey.. though I guess he'll have to grow a bit first... :P

it was great watching him on his first night in his new viv, just watching him doing a tarzan from the wire onto the shelf was brill.

he's got some cardboard tubes that you can just see in the red picture, he loves just sitting in them poking his head out to look about.

i have to admit though with the plant in the background being so dense it can be hard getting cecil out, have to unhook it and lay it down all the time for him to come off.
