Hi all,
I've been doing much research into getting myself a snake recently (I've waiting since I was teeny to become a semi-responsible adult who can afford to keep one properly!) and stumbled across this forum whilst researching appropriate happy snakes. Corn snakes have been super recommended to me as a first time snake, so I have joined for some pre-snake advice and genereal snakey fun :) |

MM: Its one I've been using for ages all over the internet! I've grown very fond of it though. I believe it was originally a 'second option' when the user name I wanted somewhere was already taken (possibly siliconsoul..)
GP: I am in Edinburgh! I was eyeing up exotic-pets.co.uk for supplies, but not necessarily for snakes.. so if there are any reputable types you know of up here I would be most glad to know of them
This'll be a slow process regardless, as I really want to be properly prepared before getting one. It really sucks when you hear about people who have had to give up their pets, or even worse, have abandoned them because they couldn't look after them |

My Scottish geography is poor, how far are you from Perth? - I've got a friend who has some hatching at the end of the month. Are you after a particular morph? |

Not too far from Perth (about an hour or so in a car), but because of my work it would be a pretty tricky place to get to, and I'm a bit sans voiture at the moment. Ideally I'd LOVE a blizzard or a blood red, but would be very happy with a snow, creamsicle or Lavender. the other thing is I'm going on holiday in a few weeks and would rather tackle this in a couple of months so that I'm well prepared and equipped. I wouldn't want to end up with a weeny snake roaming about my house or living in a shoebox ;) |

Well that would work out, if they're born at the end of the month, they wouldn't be ready for re-homing for at least another month. Anyway, if you want me to enquire just shout |
