So i went to a reptile shop today to look at new vivs for Angelina. Id been into this place before and they seemed cool, got talking to the women about a viv id seen before and she nearly had a heart attack when i said i was going to put her a 30x15x15 set up. Angelina is about 26" at the moment and said i shouldnt put her in something so small and said i should go for the 36x18x18.
What do you guys think? she also piped on about having a light because they are essential as heat mats dont give enough heat out. Im kind of confused about what i should do now, to be honest shes bamboozled me and made me question myself |

I agree with Blackecho. 30x15x15 should be fine.
You've got to remember 36x18x18 vivs cost more than 30x15x15 vivs- she was probably out to make money |

Plus a light fitting, plus the bulb, plus the guard, plus an extra stat, she wants your money :) |

goes back to 'viv length + viv depth = length of snake'
so a 36" long + 18" deep viv = 54" snake (or 4foot 6inch snake)
as for the woman in the shop I'd say it was ignorance or money-grabbing or both! |

Exactly, the 30 x 15 will give you 45" (3'9"), more than enough for now. |
