After getting one of my snakes out earlier this evening, i realised that one had escaped because i hadn't closed the viv properly. I knew that she hadn't gone far as she had only been missing for about 5 mins, but after turning my room upside down to try to find her, she located me. I have an old tower under my 'normal' one that I use with Win98, to play old games on, and it's got one of the drive bays from the front missing, as i put my fingers in that to move it forwards to look behind, that's when she found me!! Luckily, the machine didn't have a power source running to it at the time, but it was still awkward getting her out, as when i used my hook on her, she tensed up so I couldn't get her out. Here she is, in pic, you can just see her head poking out of the drive bay.

its a worry when they get out, one time my milk escaped and turned up 3 weeks later behind the sofa and my large corn escaped and turned up under my bed 5 weeks later, and each time i turned the house upside down using a torch, i hate playing hide and seek |

This'll be my third escape this year, each time i've been lucky enough to find them quickly. The first time was Sid again, she escaped from the old Viv and was found in my 14 your old nieces bed, so I done the standard wind up and told her that it was measuring her! The second time was Crunchy Nut, she was found under the wardrobe about 15 mins after getting out. The third time was this time. It's my own stupidity really because if i'm playing on the PC, i tend to open the Viv and Kelloggs normally comes out to have a play and mooch around and when he's come out i tend to close the Viv again, but neglected to close it properly this time.
it's odd, because I used to keep Garters, and I used to let them roam about my old room, and if they couldn't be seen I knew they'd always be curled up on the floor nest to my TV stand because of the cooling fans warming that bit of the carpet. |

The little monkey!
Glad you found her quickly, it's awful when they are missing long term.
Computers are supposed to be a common hidey place for them though. Bless her |

How did you get her out of there? Did you have to lure her out with food, lol |

I've got a photo of her somewhere and she has twisted herself around the power cables, ide ribbons and everything, i had to dismantle the tower, and wait for her to come out. I considered tempting her with food, but she's an excellent strike feeder, and would've gotten it and bolted back in. from recollection, it took about 3 hours until i got her out. |
