The more you handle her and the more confident you are the happier you'll both be. |

I don't think its your scent, its just being used to being handled and they can sense your fear, just try to be confident. |

personally i wouldnt have. as she will learn to do it every time you go near. i talk to chester wen i pick him up ( a bit like the late great steve irwin) just uncover her and go for the middle-ish bit of the body. this is just me, sure some one else may think differnt...anyone |

I agree with dazb, they can associate actions with other happenings so if you stop handling when she rattles, she will rattle more often. Also, Steve Irwin, he was a total legend. I wanted to meet him but thats not happening now :( |

Queenie actually hissed at me yesterday! I was quite surprised but picked him up anyway and just handled him for 5 mins. It was probably my fault for waking him up in the middle of the day *slaps own wrist*

The boas at work always hiss at me but show no other signs of aggression. I just ignore it. |

I don't know if he's really male or female as Paws For Thought didn't want to pop him for me. I thought it was a good unisex name, lol :-) |
