Pine is toxic, but i have coated it with 3 layers of varnish so im hoping it will be fine (can anyone back me up??). good luck with the viv, and where are you getting the royal from!! It seems im looking at £80-£120 for 2 year old, 4ft long, normal female!

No idea, as long as the varnish isn't poisonous too it sounds ok, but couldn't be sure.

I have been busy with the viv agin. I have put a shelf in, varnished the "mug tree" about 7 times and gathered some stones to make a cave-like hide. I was wondering whats the best way to clean them. They are in a washing up bowl full of boiling water at the moment. I will put some more pics up of the viv tonight.

hows your handmade viv going lindsei?

Bleach (followed by a thorough rinse) and perhaps a drying in the oven.
