looking at getting a royal on sunday and stuck with a choice.

there is either a 8 month one that is feeding well or a 2 month ish one that is being force fed.

really wanted the 2 month one but worried about the feeding. plus its a bargain. there is 50 quid diff in price also

wot would you guys do.

Go for the feeder as I assume you do not have previous knowledge about their care & you dont want to waste the money you have paid on a snake that doesn't eat, which may incur costly vet bills.

Up to you though ?

yeah i have handled them both.

one guy in shop say he would go for then youngest one. he said that they are all taking to food eventually but just being a little fussy.
plus they have a wide choice. lots available.

i understand that force feeding/assist feeding is not the best as i have seen it a few times.

the other thing is that the 8 month one is CB abd the young one is CF, (does it really matter?)

so many things to consider......

yeah just do a search on feeding Royals, they're a Royal pain to feed if they're not established!
but beautiful snakes too, I had Queenie out of his viv for 5 mins last night, first time I've held him for weeks as I wasn't sure if being handled was putting him off his food. leaving him alone seems to have worked getting him to take a mouse.

Captive farmed means that either a pregnant snake was captured and gave birth in captivity or eggs were taken from the wild and incubated and hatched in captivity.

Captive bred is two snakes breeding in captivity.
