hi just got a snake and a viv just need a little help on a few things done alot of reading up on it but a few things stuck on like how often feedin him and how often to clean it out and when should i pick him up after feeding

i dont have a snake yet but 1 thing i no is that you should not pick a snake up at least 24/48 hours after feedin.

How often to feed him depends on the age and size of the snake. Remove the substrate around the poo when he does his business and totaly clean the viv (remove all substrate, disinfect everything) once a month.

Hi adam, there's a thread on here about substrate, i think it's even titled 'substrate' where some of the forum members have posted what their preferences are :-) personally I use wood chippings from my local petshop at one end of the viv and shredded paper at the other end for burrowing in.

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

I used to use wood chips, but out of prefence i would recomend Apsen shavings. Maurice loves them

Mine had that before i was the owner. The previous owners went to a vet who said it had to be cut out so it was. There is no scare but there is a raised oval shape. Is it the same distance from the tip of his tail that his vent is? Is it on the bottom/side/rob of his body?
