I just came back to my flat to find Angelina submerged in her water bowl. It was only her head and neck but i thought this was abit strange, ive never seen her do this before so was wondering why she might of done it?
I heard of snakes bathing when they get too hot but she had her head under the water and non of her body!
Any help or idea why she was doing this would be great |

They like it! Some do, some don't, it's just personal preference.
Alternatively, she might be doing it if she's due for a shed. It helps the skin come off in one.
But it could just have been because of the warm day. I would've loved a soak in a swimming pool, it was boiling! |

thanks for the help people, thought it might be a relaxation thing because she's not due to shed for awhile. |

Ha! Its just water thats room temperture or slightly above. You can either do it in your own bath or anything really. I use a washing up bowl. The water shouldnt be deeper than 2 or 3 inches. |

just use water, there is no need for soaps. Do it around 3 days after feeding to help him poo. Dont leave him in too long (i wouldn' for more than 15 mins). I just wipe mine down with a towel to stop him dripping but no fur is a huge advantage when bathing a bet :D |

Petal had her first swim last night as she hadn't shed the last 2" of her tail, of course she poo-ed in the first 30 seconds of being in there but I changed the water and put her back in, she seemed to enjoy it and it sorted out that last bit of shedding too. Was going to let Peachy have a go but was sooooo content just curled up in my pocket! |
