Hi Again,
I wondering how you guys carry your snakes if you have to travel anywhere with them (I'm not taking about taking a holiday) Just like trips to the vets and stuff. I have made an appointment for my new baby to see the vet next week, There is nothing wrong with him/her but I want to get him/her sexed and just a once over. I always think your best taking animals to the vets when they are well so that when they are not well it doesn't stress them as a new thing. Anyways I was planning on taking him in his plastic tub (that we feed him in) but wondered if that's a good idea long term. Given that he will only really be put in there to feed is he likely to try and take a strike at the hand that goes in to pull him out rather than to be giving him a mouse.
So far he has only been fed in the tub once (will be twice by the time we go to the vets) So I don't think he will have got to the point he associates the tub with food but later on he will have that association. Sorry I don't half waffle sometimes Thanks Gemma |

I travelled mine from Somerset to North Scotland in a pillow case inside a large shoebox with airholes- it kept him nice and calm. The dark makes them feel a bit more secure. Shoe boxes are cheap and readily accessible and as long as your corn is unable to escape it will be fine. |

U use a plastic Faunarium with a bit of towel in the bottom, they usually hide inside the towel. |

When I collected Trio from Wolfspirit, he was inside a pillow case and I knotted the end, and put the pillow case into a RUB on the passenger footwell.
I did a few years ago do an 8 hour drive (was supposed to be 4) with the stat+mat still plugged in. |

I have to transport mine (all 5 of them) 250 miles next month. I am going for pillow cases in RUBs with heat pads. |
