I think Beardies are brilliant, they're about the same size as my 2. Have you had them sexed yet? Because you could run same problems as with young snakes. |

i tried sexing them, but i just cant see myself, so im going to look for someone that knows how. I've followed pictures from online but i just cant seem to. Ive been keeping an eye on them though just incase of any mating or bullying but i havent seen anything, but iam going to have them checked asap. was thinking about putting pics up of them here, but i think it may be a bit hard?
also ive been reading, that females mainly do the arm waving although i know thats not 100%, my two arm wave alot. And ive never seen them blow out their beareds. |

its a bit of a myth that as both male and female arm wave and puff their beards. but if they are doin it alot more than "normal" then it may be a sign |

you need to gently lift the tail so that the anal vent is showing then you should see lumps. if there is one then it is a male if there is 2 then female |

I'll get piccys of mine up, they can be sexed by experienced beardie keepers fairly early, but to 'untrained' they reckon 6 months+ is easiest to tell.
What I do is put them on a smooth surface(they can't grip easy then) and hold the tail roughly in the middle and lift straight up until the back legs are lifted as well. Then look just after the anal vent and if you see 2 small bumps with a slight dip in the middle, then it's male. 1 small bulge in the middle is female. |

ok had a look, im going to say the bigger one is a male, although im not going to take that as 100%, not even 50% undecided about the smaller one
