I think its a squirrel or a rat. It was scratching about
Just been up there wearing boots and a thick jumper armed with a torch, face mask and cut off of an old curtain poll (dont fancy an angry rodent bite!).
Its gone but I dont know how it got in yet. Got a strobe light in there for now. |

All they need is a bit of music and all their mates will be up there for a party.
Oh. And can you lay on a few drinks and nibbles for them just to help it along.
Thanks. |

a few months ago we discovered we had squirrels up in our roof space thanks to a friendly neighbour..we then found out there were babies up there when they started coming outside and stealing the chickens food...course the chicken wasnt happy about it and managed to grab its tail and give it a beating... we did manage to catch the baby in a bucket and then take it to a local forest where they are welcome lol |

i had a mouse infestation in my attic from august 2007 and right up till august 2008 i was fighting em lol laying about 5 mouse traps at a time baited with chocolate, in total i must have killed about 24 mice, funny thing is towards the end they was getting very intellegent in avoiding the traps, and my chances of getting a mouse as i used to check every 4 days was lower and lower. i recently heard a story that someone had a few snakes that got out in someones house and the mouse infestation dissapeared lol |

There were mice in out house when we moved in - tons of um. We did everything, traps, poison, plug in things to scare um off no help at all - i was in a right state about it all the food was in sealed boxes and the house was spotless and yet there were still fresh droppings all over my kitchen every morning. i'm no clean freak but i got really stressed about it as i had a 6 month old bubba and 6 months pregnant hornmones shot and balled my eyes out - In the end Hubby bought me Ozzy, never has a problem since!! My knight in shiney cat fur.

before we had our attic turned into my room, there was a bird with a nest in it, we had to wait a whole summer before starting my room because your not allowed to disturb them. |

It is illegal to let it go any where in the UK, it's a non-native species.
Stick it on the BBQ - free food! Eat a grey Squirrel save a red squirrel

Finished the trap, its not pretty, but I reckon it will work (if they havent already gone 'cos of the strobe light). Sorry, no "How To" guide for this one :
Missing one side:
Finsihed:
Inside:
The window was going to be longer but after marking it out (badly) and drilling the holes in the corners I remembered I didnt have a jig saw anymore. Instead it was made by a few drilled holes, a stanley blade and a hammer . |
