Hi guys, i know some of you guy have got royals and as i am going to shortly be the proud owner of one i was wondering if you can share with me me some of excellent knowledge about set ups and hints and tips. heating, feeding, etc.

They have similar set ups to corns really, decoration wise anyway. They still like hiding and mine likes to climb too.
Mine's on a heat mat at the moment because she's only little, but I will have to get her a ceramic heater later on because it heats the viv better.
Some people advise having a humidity box in with your royal, but mine hardly bothers going in hers. I have a hydrometer in there to keep an eye on the humidity levels, but rarely have to worry about that.
Feeding wise they are still same as corns. Mainly mice, but other rodents too. That's if they are eating at the time, because they are so fussy. Mine's on one large mouse a week now, but when fully grown will go onto adult rats, guinea pigs or even rabbits (probably rats because I like rabbits) 
You should be alright to get one and just see how it goes. They have no needs that you are not used to by owning a corn. They are just bigger really  |

how long should you leave a new royal before trying to feed it, i purchased one on friday and shop said feeding day was sunday (yesterday) got her food ready and she was not interested, i know she may not want to eat cos it all new to her should i try again in a few days or leave it for a while, im terrible i always worry when they don't eat, im the same with my kids !!!lol |

from wot i can gather (cos im looking at getting one) that they are very fussy eaters and sometines go for long periods without eating. try to find out exactly wot she was fed on and try that. |
