Can anyone advise me on this. My corn has started 'flitching' when I handle him. It's almost like a quick muscle contraction. Could he be ready for shedding? We got him on 27.5.09, and he hadn't shed for a few weeks at that point.

I really doubt that him quickly backing away is a sign of him being happy. Make sure your not making any sudden movements.

He never shies away Matty, in fact he is always ready to come out, and as soon as I open the viv door, he's there. And I am very careful not to make sudden moves, i would hate him to feel threatened. Thanks for advice though. Ally.

Quick thought Matty, it's very hard to describe, but it's a bit like he's tensing his muscles then relaxing them. Doesn't do it all the time. Last night he was round my shoulders for about 5-10 mins, did it for about 10 secs then relaxed again...no idea why yet, but will keep an eye out for your comments. Ally.
