Hello

Just wanted to check that this was the right thermometer to buy before i bought it.

Yep, I use a very simular type and they work fine. Delivery took 7-10 days.

Looks like it'd be ok, but I wouldn't buy from Hong Kong!! There's plenty in the UK!

I personally have this one - Dual Digital Thermometer

It's meant for fridge/freezers but cos it has 2 probes, I have one in the warm end and one in the cool end. Also has an alarm that you can set to go off if the temps go outside a preset range.

like budaholic said buy from the uk,had so much not arrive from h/k and can take anything from 5 days to 3 weeks.
