say that he doesnt have to get involved in any of the looking after or feeding or handling (except perhaps changing the water if you are away), and you will buy lock for the viv, and if you need to could buy a small fridge with a smaller freezer in it to keep the mice in (like the ones in argos or something). |

aim higher!! ask for a horse, then when you're turned down ask for a dog, then when you're turned down ask for a cat, and then finally settle for a tiddly little corn |

You could always go for reverse psychology - "actually Dad I’ve gone off the idea a bit, I might spend all my spare cash on Drugs, Booze and Women of the night" Ok maybe not |

Can't remember where I heard this: One day a small boy had been praying every night, asking for a new bike. After a year he didn't have one, but he realised that God worked differently. So he went and stole one, then prayed for forgiveness
Not that I'm encouraging going against your dad, but i'd have a snake, regardless. |

I got my first snake when my parents went on holiday! I was 16. My mum actually came round to the idea pretty quickly although it was touch and go for a while. "charlie" (red spotted garter)was allowed to stay and the rest is history! |

this is how i went about persuading them ... i went out and bought it brought it home whilst they were out and said oops my bad when he got angry and if it is the "your wasting my electricity or my bill wil be sky high" tell him the snake can like in a plastic box on top of the other vivs. either way they have no argument.
i prefer first reason as that got me my first snake and my other snakes game from the second excuse lol. depends how strict your parents are. if they are strict i reccomend the second way
good luck |

Just convince them that they are super easy to look after etc etc. and much less hassle than other pets...
after I had to have my horse put down getting my parents to let me have a snake was easy!! I think they were just grateful I didn't want another pony!!! but then, I am 20 and still had to ask for permission...
