my corn snake is 10 months now and he has been fine until his last feeding where he ignored the food and started really lunging for my fingers (eek)
i'm not sure what to do help

probably because its breedin season. dont be scared it will soon pass

what on earth has the breeding season got to do with this Brookie?

my obvious reply would be to ask if you'd handled the mouse and therefore still smell mousey? or was the mouse warm enough and it was confusing your heat with the mouse's lack of heat?

ok no idea about breeding season
but i didn't handle the mouse and it was quite warm lol it was very startling
he doesn't seem to be shedding either

how are you offering the food......... tongs....... tweezers...... fingers? and do you usually feed in or out of the viv?

right this what i was told GP buy a snake breeder. corns,kings and milk snakes all have tempermental behaviour in breedin season. assuming the corn is on its own then it may be gettin frustrated (wouldnt you be if you wanted to "mate" and couldnt) to what extent this is true im not sure but like i said i was told by a breeder this so i believed it was pretty accurate.

no worries hun and sorry if i can across a bit harsh originally.
i'm not saying the info the breeder gave you is wrong but given the info on this particular case (ie. very young corn) i din't think it was particularly relevant
