I've just watched a documentary on bbc4, about some gi-huge restaurant in Asia.
They had a 'chef competition' the dishes they made were LIVE deep fried fish, they deep fried them, but they were still alive on the plate.
That wasn't the most shocking bit, it was just before that.
They had to serve some snake dish!! but even after being 'prepared' each plate had about 10 pieces of snake on, about 2 inches long, that was still moving!!

I'm the sort of person that could eat a jam sandwich while watching an autopsy, but this turned my stomach. Also watching it at 5am when you haven't slept doesn't help.

I do have a linky to re-watch it online, but due to it's nature, i felt best not to post the link.
It isn't particulary gory or anything, but it's just snakes, i couldn't imagine putting my snakes on a plate.
The link will only be valid for another 3-4 days, then the BBC will remove it. Lewy or another MOD, can you contact me so I can send you the link, i'm sure some may want to see it, although we're all snakelovers it's just one of those things that in a weird way is interesting to watch. But i'm gonna be cautious about posting this link myself until it has been 'vetted'.

I bought a bottle of stuff from a place near me a while back, 14 quid, for a 35 bottle, it was called 'rectified spirit', it was 79.9%, that'll do it.

As for being awake at this ungodly hour, I have a lovely sleep disorder, i can stay up all night, and not notice, like last night.

Well enjoy work, i'll think about you, while i'm sat here tucked up in bed browsing the forum.

Snakes are a delicacy in some places. Don't they cook them in their own blood for extra flavour? That's what my army friend tells me they teach them in survival lessons anyway. Not sure if he's just saying that to get a reaction from me though

I sent the link this morning Lewy.
They didn't cook these in their own blood, they just chopped them into bits, and put them on a plate.
