It's on the roof of their mouth isn't it?
I do like the diagram of the snake - interesting to see how there are 2 lines of organs that run down the body

venomous and constricters would be different. Venom glands for one thing

Jacobsons Organ is for tasting their surroundings, it helps them to track prey etc.
