Hi all, after finding my beloved snakey after being 'wild' for about a week gave him a quick look over and he seems to have sustained a raised scale, can scales be damaged like this or is it more likely to be some kind of parasite i hadn't noticed before he escaped.

Michael

I'll try to get some pics once he has warmed and settled back down

Is it on the bootm or on the top/sides? if its bent or folded it could be where is has cought on something. If their is something under it, it could be a mite or tick and will need to be removed.

it should return to normal. it they've been cold and stayed still for a long time sometimes a scale will curl up, then will go back to normal.
