That's Sid, in her chocolate orange tub. it's a perfect hide for her.

Kelloggs and Crunchy Nut, having a mooch around.

Crunchy Nut, being nosy, again.

That's all three of them, curled and hiding in the other box in the new viv.

Crunchy Nut is 50 inches long, or just over 4 foot long
Sid is just over 44 inches, or just over 3 1/2 foot
Kelloggs is just over 55 inches, which is just over 4 1/2 foot long.

I found this out by using a very clever bit of computer software, designed for measuring snakes. :)

Crunchy Nut, and Sid are both Female, Kelloggs is male.
Kelloggs and Crunchy Nut were both bought within a a few weeks of each other so I believe, so have spent 8 happy years together.
Sid came about 2 years later, and just seemed to become part of the furniture as well.

We just use a tape measure, but it takes two people- one to hold the snake and one to actually measure, but since they wriggle so much it's still a guesstimate.

Appartently there is a program on the net somewhere where you take a picture of your snake with a pound coin and they tell you the length of your snake, but I've never used it so you'll have to wait until someone else can send you the web address. (I'm pants aren't I?)

I got a bit of software from somewhere, can't remember where, sorry.
But it's freeware and so long as I 'don't modify it in anyway' I can redistribute it.
It's fairly easy actually, the snake can even be coiled up, you take a photo of the snake, with say a ruler visible, then you set the measurement on the ruler, then go over the snake and it calculates it for you.

Let me have a hunt about, and see if i can find the original site, if not then I'm sure i could host it, and provide download linky.

I've put it on my FTP.

ftp://philbennett.boldlygoingnowhere.org/SnakeMeasurer.zip

if you get username/password request, username is: snake
there is no password, so leave it blank.

File is only 1.5mb, but i'm working at the moment as well, so my bandwidth may fluctuate, plus I only have 150kb/s upstream.
