Well got my computer back from the shop today. So far its working nicely and de-contaminated
Quick question, Is AVG free enough to protect it or should I get Norton aswell?
Thanks again to everyone who helped me on my Virus thread! |

norton ispoopbecause it dont even last a year before it CHARGES you again to renew, and avg can bepoopbecause sometimes your internet software that you are using doesn't recognise it. i been using avast free edition for over a year now and the best thing about it is very good, i had 1 minor virus infection a few months ago that it got rid of and on the whole its a very good anti virus software, and its good. and also never have more than 1 anti virus software, you may think that 2 anti virus softwares give you double the protection but they dont, they just slow your computer right down and sometimes recognise each other as an intruder and start making your computer freeze and god knows what. im just saying from experience ; ) |

If you want a really really good AV then i can say i have been using Nod 32 for over a year now, in that time i have had no problems with anything on my pc,
when i was using Nortons then avg then zone alarm, i had nothing but problems, Nortons was always letting in stuff, avg was not much better and Zone alarm was good, but drained my memory...
This year i upgraded my nod32 to the full suite which included all the spyware stuff and firewall, and my pc has been clean all the time.
