Just gonna add a few more piccys of my crew in here.
Been a while since I updated any pics.
Got one to go in first, I'll add the rest later.
This is Spud, taken about 18 months ago now. (One of Garlics mum and dad)
Spud with babies on her back, about 2 days before they got posted out.

Your beadies are getting big, they also have some beautiful colouring! 
I know this sounds strange but i really cant eait for Garlic & Herb to get to the size of Spud. I have a strange fasination with my snails. Quick question though, how old would you say mine are? As i havent seen them doing the rude/ any eggs. Not that i'm complaining mind!

You received your in the post from me on the 1st of October, 2008 EmmaApple.
They hatched about 14th Sept 2008.
So I'd guess sexual maturity will be around the 1 year old mark.
Mine were not much smaller than in the piccys above when I first got eggs.
I had 4 at the time, and each one was laying a batch of eggs about once a week for 3-4 weeks.
Each batch was between 3-400 eggs. (I was sad and did count one batch, it was something like 371)
Just freeze them for a couple days to kill them, unless you've got something that'll eat them.

I've thought about that.
Draining the tank and cooking all the ornaments, and disinfecting the plants would make a brilliant decorative snake tank.
Hmm, may start convincing the missus that a royal would be a good idea now. |

yay, get a royal...they are much better than corns, before i get jumped on i love corns to, just nothing touches royals in my eyes... |

At the moment though it's about seeing what I can get given.
A rep shop up the road from me has a nice big snakie storeroom and snakes keep escaping from it. One of the neighbours has had 2 different snakes get into her flat in the past few months. Unfortunately she has a fear of them and done her best sutcliffe impression on them.
I'm gonna pop round there at some point and give her my number and tell her to call, night or day.

He is, apparently he's at that price because they've become to attached and don't really wanna sell him.

I know, it's been amazing how fast they've shot up. I wish I had a progression thread on them.
Only downside is that we're currently getting about 25 eggs per week, we're only supposed to get 15!! |
