I am about to treat my snake for mites. The only spray I've been able to find is "Beaphar Insect Spray" with an Ivermectin content of 0.02% w/w.
This spray advises it only be used on snakes with a mass greater than 80g, and the problem arises because mine only masses ~14g.
Can I use less spray than the amount reccommended? Should I dilute to lower the concentration? Could I apply the spray to something else (e.g. a cloth) and then apply to the snake? What adverse side effects are there with Ivermectin?
Any advice would be welcomed, I don't really want to simply wait until my snake becomes about 6 times larger.

You know about completely gutting the viv, binning the aspen, cleaning the furniture thoroughly and using kitchen roll as substrate for about a month, right?
don't use the ivermectin spray a snake that small. rather than mixing different chemicals around, try a different approach such as regular baths (with a little bit of soap to break the surface tension) to drown the little buggers - not the snake!!
