Had our Alice for almost a month now and she's refused the last 4 mice I've offered her.
Today, I thawed 2 weaner mice...... A bit too small for her I know, but I was thinking if she's refusing larger items, maybe, just maybe she'll accept something a little easier to digest.
Put them in a plastic dish in the viv, just as the day light went off and the night lights come on. It's 10 minutes after the lights go out that she ventures from her hide, regular as clockwork!
Anyway, left her undisturbed for half hour, and when I checked, they'd both gone.
I'm wondering now whether she has a preference for brown/black mice???? Could this be possible. All the mice she refused were white!
Has anyone elses Corn shown a preference for a particular colour mouse?
Anyway, just wanted to share my relief with you guys and gals. |

congrats! yes some snakes DO have a preference for a particular colour mouse. if you discover what works then write down all the details so you can do the same again next time. when her feeding is more established then you can try introducing different coloured mice |
