Well getting paid 50 smackerooes TONIGHT and sometime over this lovely longer weekend, will be getting a stat. Going for the Habistat 100 seen it for £20.00 and snapping it up.

I am also getting two thermometers, the analouge exo-terras.

Now speaking of exo-terra's myself am wondering, how to get the stat probe into my exo-terra viv.. I did consider using the enter/exit holes for the heat mat but I'm not sure how big the probe and wire and how long the wires are.

I thought if i could get the probe into the hole for wires (somehow!?) I'd run it down the background to the heatmat, so I am having my hot end at the back of the viv and cold near the front, as my viv is an 18x18x18 (I think!) And thus its a square.

Any ideas of getting the probe in safely, so snakey doesnt go walkies would be greatly appreciated!

Dont bother putting the probe inside, tape it directly to the mat. Electrical tape is best for the job because it wont leave any sticky rubbish on the mat or probe.

Also, digital thermometers are alot better than analogue ones, and you can get them for about 50p more than the dials.

Ok cheers matty, will masking tape do?

And BE - I dont have a paypal account, neither does my step mother who I live with, and my Dad is in SF on work trip.

I think I'll go with the analouges for now - Least I can get a near enough reading, and I've seen loads of people on here and various other sites, with the analouges. They can't be that bad.

Cheersw guys

Your choice, but the analogue ones can be as much as 10 degrees out.

Will be getting digi's when my Dad gets back.

What I wasn't looking foward to was the p&p to ship from, Thailand or somewhere on the otherside of the world, the p+p is about the same as the thermo! times it by two about £7.

Will be getting them though.

Thanks again
