FINALLY! Dumbo has eaten, and off his own back i might add as i was thinking of having to go down the live route not sure if it was the house move - to a small tub/RUB, the gerbil - although that hasn't worked before, or me accidentally leaving the gerbil in the viv for 2 days - ok, i wouldn't normally leave anything in that long!
whatever, it's worked |

no he's not been out, not been handled, not been photographed, keeping everything stress-free to get him to eat. the previous owner had him in a 4ft viv and he fed 4 times last year, yes 4 times... in a whole year!! when i got him about 2 months ago i put him straight into a 2ft viv, then in desperation i moved him into a 15"x11" tub about 10 days ago. i'm guessing he's about 3ft long so a tub that size is pretty small for him but hell, if it makes him happy and means he actually eats then i don't really care! maybe when he's taken 3 consecutive feeds i'll handle him and take some pics (but that may be far away in the future?!) |
