Snakes don't have ears external or internal ears. this means that they can not pick up sunds as they travle through the air like we do. They do however pick up vibrations through there lower jaw wich may alow them some sence of hearing although it is debatable how much this allows. Hope that helped.

Its a bit of a myth snakes having internal ears. They do have a symple unexplained bone atached to the back of the jaw which is similar to those in whales and dolphins which is what makes some people think that it is an internal ear although it is so rudimentry that i doubt is has much efect above detecting vibrations through the ground.(wow i realy did lern some thing doing my degree) I asked Inca what she hears but she ignored me, lol.

Its actually nice having a conversation with a snake because you get the answers your looking for (usually from yourself) and not random s**t from a family member, lol |

I'm glad i'm not the only one that talks to my snakes, I was away from home from 2pm yesterday, got back at 7 this evening, when i got back i took my motorbike gear off and said 'hi to the missus. I then got told off (again) because i asked the snakes how they've been, if they've missed me and if they were ok because i didn't say goodnight to them. Apparently, just saying hi to the missus but asking the snakes if they missed me warrants a telling off. I don't understand women.
Oh and by the way, DO NOT ever ride 130 miles on a mini motorbike that can't do more than 40mph with all the extra weight on. |

Nothing wrong with talking to the snakes, I work in a school so it's the only chance I get to talk to intelligent animals |
