My snow corn's had an odd little white dot on his head for around a week now, surrounded by darker pink than is usually on his head. I thought it might be something to do with shedding, but he shed yesterday and it's just got darker.
I took a photo of it about ten minutes ago:

That's the best photo I could get.
The surrounding area's also a darker pink, the flash made it paler...

I thought it might be blister disease, or some sort of scale rot, but the aspen shavings I use for his substrate are all dry. Plus, I read that they usually happen on the underside of the snake?

I thought it might also be a burn from his heatmat, but I checked it regularly over the past week and it's definitely not hot enough to burn...

What is it?! I've had Ani for around a year now, and he's never had anything like this before. He's still acting fine otherwise; and it's a pretty tiny mark, but it's unusual and only turned up recently, and it's worrying me...

I thought I'd ask if you guys knew what it was before making a vet appointment ^^;

No, it's not... I keep meaning to get one, but honestly I think it doesn't heat up enough to merit one. If anything it doesn't provide as much heat as it should.
